At Michele & Hoven, we create timeless collections that reflect our values of fairness, transparency, respect, and responsibility.

The brand was born in 2008 from the vision of designer Michele, who, after struggling to find a sweater that was truly warm, soft, and comfortable for European winters, returned to her Peruvian roots and the unmatched qualities of alpaca wool. Designed in Europe and handcrafted with care, our garments blend natural fibers, sustainable practices, and artisanal techniques—resulting in pieces that are not only luxurious and long-lasting, but made with purpose.

In Michele & Hoven we try to make the process of production as transparent as possible.

From respecting the animals and using certified dyes to ensuring a fair wage and producing only what we sell within the limits of our capacity.

The result are hand knitted pieces made with a lot of care and love by our team, who have inherited the thousand-year-old hand knitting tradition and keep learning how to apply these knowledges to our designs. The result are ethical, feminine and unique pieces.

Every Michele & Hoven knit has a story: from the relationship with the artisan to the life of the wearer.

We design our styles with the intention of creating timeless pieces that can be worn year after year to generate little waste and a minimal carbon footprint. All of our collections are made by skilled artisan women in the Peruvian Andes, experienced in the traditional methods of creating hand knitted pieces.
